The Mouse connects with two devices and works just fine - it just does not connect with two Windows laptops. I have rung hardware support on two very long phone calls of over an hour each.

The phone calls took so long because there are no options to cover mouse problems and I kept being forwarded to another phone number. Sometimes I got forwarded to someone who had forwarded me about 10 minutes previously. I did get to speak to someone but the quality of the voice call was so bad we could not understand each other. On the third call, the forwarding never got answered and I got cut off. That is when I turned to this community for help. So suggesting I try hardware support does not impress me. Could you comment on the Bluetooth issue I raised earlier please?

On two Windows laptops (7 and 8.1) it is not picked up/identified. So the rest of the troubleshooter is irrelevant (ie delete and try again). The laptops connect quickly with a Sony Vaio Bluetooth mouse, but not with the Microsoft Arc touch Bluetooth mouse.

All four devices connect to my Sony Vaio Bluetooth mouse. I tried chat - and they could not help and advised me to ring hardware support - but my negative experience of that is described in another post above! Thanks for trying to help. They also connect with Sony and Bose Bluetooth speakers. The Microsoft Arc Touch Bluetooth mouse is only recognised by the Microsoft Surface and the Apple MacBook Air. It works fine with them. However, I bought it for my work Windows laptops and it doesn't connect or even recognised. Thanks for the update on the Bluetooth Smart advice as I had suspected that the Windows Laptops did not have Bluetooth Smart Ready or connect to these devices. I'd be grateful for your further advice.
