As a simple adapter, there isn't a whole lot to say here, but the fact that I literally plugged it in and haven't really even thought about it since means that it's doing its job, right? I have a Surface 3 and an old 1280x1024 LCD monitor. I write a lot, so I wanted to put my text up on a bigger screen. Plugged the adapter into my Surface 3 dock and my VGA monitor, and it worked flawlessly from the get-go. Granted, I have not tested it with HDMI, but the VGA is working great. We'll see if this fellow's longevity is good, but so far I'm extremely happy with it. Plug and play - did exactly what I wanted it to do.

I wanted to add a second monitor to my imac for non editing/color tasks, like chrome, with my tabs for pandora, farting goat videos and other childish nonsense that keeps me distracted from editing photos and videos on my main calibrated screen. Instead of shelling out $500 for a used thunderbolt display, I figured giving the people's republic of china some more slave labor funding and reusing an older monitor I had from my kids burned up PC with a vga plug suited my cheap budget much better. After all, what is the difference between a photographer and a large pizza??

The pizza can feed a family! I ordered this to enable me to hook up my Raspberry Pi 2 B, to a an older Compaq VGA LCD computer monitor. Worked perfectly right out the box. Delivered a beautiful picture. Since this is an active adaptor, I was a bit worried that it would load down the Pi's power supply, to the point of causing a low voltage condition.

I was glad to find out that there were no power issues. Even with wireless USB keyboard, USB mouse and WiFi dongles, plugged into the Pi along with this adaptor, I measured 5.1 volts on the Pi's 5 volt buss.

The adaptor construction appeared to be high quality. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Had a couple of lying companies sell me cables that claimed to be 4K but were not.Rankie is the truth! Bought this to hook up my 2015 27 inch iMac Retina 5K to my new 4K TV because I'm a total baller (just kidding I took out a loan for both). Transmits 4K resolution as promised.

BONUS: It might just be my iMac, but when I have the TV off and still have the cable plugged in, occasionally my screen will flicker black for a split second here and there. Not gonna dock stars off until I verify the source of the problem but it's pretty annoying.
